Blue Lotus Face Scrub – Balm-Like Sugar Polish

Blue Lotus Face Scrub is a concentrated, waterless
facial sugar polish with a dense, balm-like texture. Caster sugar
provides physical exfoliation, while squalane, grapeseed oil and
fractionated coconut oil give the formula smooth slip and a softly
conditioned after-feel.

Blue lotus and blue tansy essential oils create the scrub’s naturally
floral and herbaceous aroma. Cera Bellina wax transforms the
oil-and-sugar blend into a cushiony balm that remains easy to scoop
and distribute.

Use this product as an occasional polishing step rather than an everyday
cleanser. Apply only a small amount to damp, intact skin and use very
light pressure. Begin once weekly and adjust according to how your skin
responds.

Remove a small amount using clean, completely dry fingertips or a clean,
dry cosmetic spatula. Avoid introducing water into the jar.

Available in a 2 oz jar.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Balm-like sugar texture:
A dense, cushiony formula that softens as it is massaged over damp skin.
  • Caster sugar:
Provides controlled physical polishing when used with very light pressure.
  • Squalane and grapeseed oil:
Give the scrub smooth slip and help skin feel softly conditioned
    after rinsing.
  • Blue lotus and blue tansy:
Provide the formula’s distinctive botanical identity and naturally
    floral, herbaceous aroma.
  • Waterless and concentrated:
Only a small amount is needed for each use.
  • Easy-to-control application:
The dense, scoopable texture makes it easy to begin with a very
    small amount.
  • Occasional routine step:
Designed for periodic exfoliation rather than daily scrubbing.
  • Handcrafted in small batches:
Made in the USA without added water, synthetic fragrance or
    artificial dyes.

Texture & Finish

Blue Lotus Face Scrub has a
dense, cushiony and balm-like texture. It does not feel
like a foaming cleanser or a loose, dry sugar scrub. The oils and wax
surround the sugar crystals and provide slip during application.

  • Texture: Dense, balm-like and scoopable
  • Exfoliation type: Physical sugar exfoliation
  • Finish: Soft, smooth and lightly conditioned
  • Amount: Begin with less than a pea-sized amount
  • Pressure: Very light fingertip pressure
  • Frequency: Begin once weekly
  • Aroma: Naturally floral and herbaceous

Some oil may remain on the skin after rinsing. Shoppers who prefer a
completely residue-free finish may follow with a soft, damp washcloth
or a mild cleanser, taking care not to rub aggressively.

Featured Ingredients

  • Caster Sugar:
Creates the formula’s physical polishing action. Light pressure is
important because stronger pressure does not produce better results.
  • Squalane:
Adds silky slip and helps the scrub spread smoothly over damp skin.
  • Grapeseed Oil:
A fluid botanical oil that contributes to the scrub’s smooth,
    conditioned finish.
  • Fractionated Coconut Oil:
Forms part of the fluid oil base and helps distribute the sugar
    across the skin.
  • Blue Lotus Essential Oil:
Provides part of the product’s naturally floral botanical aroma.
  • Blue Tansy Essential Oil:
Gives the formula its distinctive blue-tansy character and
    herbaceous aroma.
  • Cera Bellina Wax:
Structures the oil blend and creates its dense, cushiony,
    balm-like consistency.

How to Use Blue Lotus Face Scrub

  1. Cleanse the face and rinse thoroughly.
  2. Leave the skin damp rather than completely dry.
  3. Use clean, completely dry fingertips or a clean, dry cosmetic spatula
to remove less than a pea-sized amount.
  4. Distribute the scrub between damp fingertips.
  5. Massage over the face using very light, short circular motions for
    approximately 15–20 seconds.
  6. Avoid the eyes, lips and immediate eye area.
  7. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
  8. Pat dry with a clean, soft towel.
  9. Follow with a simple hydrating serum, facial oil or moisturizer.

Do not press firmly or repeatedly scrub the same area. More pressure does
not improve exfoliation and may leave skin feeling uncomfortable.

How Often Should It Be Used?

Begin with once-weekly use. Skin that already tolerates
physical exfoliation may eventually use it up to twice weekly, but more
frequent use is unnecessary for most routines.

Reduce frequency or stop use when the skin feels unusually dry, tight,
tender or uncomfortable.

When Not to Use It

Do not apply the scrub to:

  • Broken, cracked or actively irritated skin
  • Active sunburn
  • Open or inflamed blemishes
  • Freshly shaved or waxed facial skin
  • Skin recently treated with a professional peel or resurfacing procedure
  • Areas around the eyes or lips

How to Layer After Exfoliating

Keep the rest of the routine simple after using a physical scrub:

  1. Rinse the scrub away thoroughly.
  2. Apply

    Aloe Plus Hydrating Serum

when lightweight water-based hydration is desired.
  3. Follow with a small amount of

    Blue Lotus Face Oil

    or

    Blue Lotus Face Cream
    .
  4. Use sunscreen during the day.

Avoid layering the scrub in the same routine with another exfoliating
scrub, peel, strong acid product or conventional retinoid.

Blue Lotus Face Scrub vs. Botanical AHA Face Oil

  • Blue Lotus Face Scrub:
A rinse-off physical exfoliant that uses caster sugar and very
    light massage.

  • Botanical AHA Face Oil
    :

An occasional evening product centered on fruit-derived exfoliating
    ingredients rather than sugar crystals.

Choose Blue Lotus Face Scrub when you prefer a brief rinse-off polishing
step. Choose Botanical AHA Face Oil when you prefer an occasional
leave-on, ingredient-focused exfoliation routine.

Do not use both products during the same routine.

Blue Lotus Face Scrub vs. Blue Lotus Face Oil

  • Blue Lotus Face Scrub:
A rinse-off sugar polish used occasionally.

  • Blue Lotus Face Oil
    :

A leave-on facial oil used in small amounts for daily or
    occasional moisture.

The scrub removes through rinsing and physical polishing. The oil remains
on the skin as a moisturizing step. They serve different purposes and
should not be treated as interchangeable.

Blue Lotus Face Scrub vs. Blue Lotus Face Cream

  • Blue Lotus Face Scrub:
An occasional rinse-off polishing step with caster sugar.

  • Blue Lotus Face Cream
    :

    A concentrated, leave-on cream-balm with botanical butters,
    squalane and blue lotus ingredients.

Use the scrub occasionally, then follow with a very small amount of the
cream when richer moisture is desired.

Who It’s Best For

  • Adults who enjoy occasional physical exfoliation
  • Intact facial skin with rough or flaky-feeling surface texture
  • People who prefer a balm-like scrub rather than a foaming exfoliant
  • Shoppers who enjoy naturally floral and herbaceous skincare
  • Blue Lotus collection routines
  • Those comfortable using blue lotus and blue tansy essential oils
  • Skin that already tolerates very light physical exfoliation

You May Prefer Another Product If…

  • Your skin does not tolerate physical scrubs:
use a soft washcloth with a mild cleanser or consult a skincare
    professional about another exfoliation method.
  • You want a leave-on moisturizing step:
    choose

    Blue Lotus Face Oil

    or

    Blue Lotus Face Cream
    .
  • You need an essential-oil-free routine:
select another formula without blue lotus or blue tansy essential oils.
  • Your skin is broken, sunburned or actively irritated:
wait until it has returned to its normal condition before considering
    exfoliation.

Blue Lotus Face Scrub FAQs

What is Blue Lotus Face Scrub?

It is a waterless, balm-like facial scrub made with caster sugar,
botanical oils, Cera Bellina wax and naturally aromatic blue lotus
and blue tansy essential oils.

Does the scrub include a scoop?

No. A scoop is not included with the product. Use clean, completely dry
fingertips or your own clean, dry cosmetic spatula to remove a small amount.

Is it a physical or chemical exfoliant?

It is a physical exfoliant. The caster sugar polishes the surface as the
product is moved lightly over damp skin.

Is it intended for daily use?

No. Begin once weekly. Skin that tolerates physical exfoliation may
eventually use it up to twice weekly.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

Individual sensitivities vary. This product contains physical sugar
crystals and two essential oils, so it will not suit every sensitive
complexion. Patch test first, begin once weekly and use extremely
light pressure.

Can I use it when my skin is red or irritated?

Do not exfoliate skin that is actively irritated, tender, broken or
unusually uncomfortable. Wait until the skin has returned to its normal
condition.

Can I use it on active blemishes?

Avoid scrubbing open, inflamed or tender blemishes. Physical friction
may make already uncomfortable areas feel worse.

Will the sugar cause microtears?

No facial scrub can guarantee that friction will never cause discomfort
or surface irritation. Use only a small amount on damp skin, apply very
light pressure and stop when the product feels too abrasive.

Does it contain essential oils?

Yes. The formula contains blue lotus essential oil and blue tansy
essential oil.

Is it fragrance-free?

No synthetic fragrance is added, but the product is not fragrance-free.
Its aroma comes from blue lotus and blue tansy essential oils.

Is it waterless?

Yes. It is made without added water.

Does it foam?

No. It is an oil-and-sugar balm rather than a foaming cleanser.

Will it leave oil on my skin?

A light conditioned feel may remain after rinsing. Use a soft, damp
washcloth or mild cleanser afterward when you prefer less residue.

Should I use it on wet or dry skin?

Use it on damp skin. Applying a sugar scrub to dry facial skin may create
unnecessary friction.

How much should I use?

Begin with less than a pea-sized amount. Using more product does not
improve the result.

Can I use it with retinol or exfoliating acids?

Do not combine it in the same routine with another scrub, peel,
exfoliating acid or conventional retinoid. Separate potentially
exfoliating products and reduce frequency when the skin feels dry,
tender or uncomfortable.

Can I use it after shaving or waxing?

Do not use it immediately after shaving or waxing. Wait until the skin
feels normal and comfortable.

Can I use it during pregnancy or nursing?

The formula contains blue lotus and blue tansy essential oils. Consult a
qualified healthcare professional before use during pregnancy or nursing.

Is it vegan?

The product is not represented as vegan. It contains Cera Bellina wax.

Can its texture change with temperature?

Yes. Natural oils and wax can become firmer in cool temperatures and
softer in warmth. This is normal for a waterless balm-like scrub.

Can its aroma or color vary?

Yes. Small-batch botanical ingredients may create subtle natural
differences in aroma, color and texture.

cracked, sunburned, freshly shaved, actively irritated or otherwise
