Olive + Sage began with a simple question: could skincare be both beautifully effective and thoughtfully formulated for sensitive skin?

As a mother of three, I became increasingly mindful of the products I used in my home and on my family’s skin. After struggling to find formulas that felt simple, transparent, and genuinely nourishing, I began researching ingredients and creating small batches of my own at home.
What started as a personal search grew into Olive + Sage in 2019. I still handcraft each product in small batches using purposeful oils, butters, botanical extracts, and carefully selected ingredients. Each ingredient is chosen with intention for the role it plays in supporting the look and feel of the skin.
I created this collection especially with sensitive, redness-prone, dry, and mature skin in mind. My philosophy remains simple: every ingredient should have a clear reason for being there.
Every botanical carrier oil used in Olive + Sage formulas is organic, cold-pressed, and unrefined. We choose these oils for their natural color, aroma, texture, and distinctive character, then incorporate them into concentrated formulas handcrafted in small batches.
Some of our essential oils are also organic, although not every essential oil is available in organic form. Complete ingredient lists are provided on each product page so you can review every formula in detail.
From aloe vera and blue tansy to nourishing plant oils and rich botanical butters, each ingredient is chosen with intention. I focus on creating formulas that help your skin feel soft, comfortable, moisturized, and cared for—without exaggerated promises or unnecessary complexity.
I also believe skincare should feel approachable rather than confusing. That is why we provide clear ingredient lists, straightforward product descriptions, and personal guidance to help you choose formulas that suit your skin and preferences.
My goal is not to promise overnight perfection. It is to create thoughtful botanical skincare that supports healthy-looking, radiant skin through consistent, gentle care.

Not at all. Olive + Sage is made for anyone seeking thoughtful botanical skincare. Because everyone’s skin is different, we recommend reviewing each product’s full ingredient list and choosing the formula best suited to your needs.
Many of our waterless creams, balms, and facial oils can be made without the traditional preservative systems required for water-based products. When a formula contains water, it is thoughtfully preserved to help maintain its safety and quality. We do not use synthetic fragrance.
Yes. Several of our lightweight oils, serums, and moisturizers are created with combination and blemish-prone skin in mind. Each product description explains its texture, essential-oil content, and recommended skin types to help you choose confidently.
Store products tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat. Use clean, dry hands or a cosmetic spatula when applying products from a jar, and follow any product-specific storage guidance on the label.
